Got the hood attached and the windows roughed out and ready to be routered smooth. Should have another video update this Sunday!

Some long over do upgrades for Jen's R3-TL are finally done! Can you spot them all?   When we were just running the Snoop Express cover a flat box under it looked fine, but with a switcher body we wanted to be able to see the wheels some and have a more correct sub frame profile, After laying out the lines I cut the 45 degree angles with a Jig Saw and a very good blade that would not twist or bend.  Next I set up the table saw for the long cut at 1 1/2 inches from the top. I then slowly raised the blade up into the wood while holding it securely to the fence.  The corners were finished with a flat saw as a round blade would cut too deep on one side.  Even with no sanding it all looks smooth and straight.  Now you can see the wheels go round and round!  The hardware store was out of table saw metal cutting blades but one and it cut like poo-doo. Should have just ordered a good one online at that point but I didn't.
So to fix the problem I used my hand held grinder and cleaned and straightened the cut off lines.
Next I cut the holes in the panel to clear the batteries and motor so I can take it on and off the main frame.
With a test fit, I made sure it was centered to the lower frame with the correct overhang revile around the edges. On to the next piece!
