Took out the old PSI lenses and dismantled them. Ready for some new lenses! With the old and new data port next to one another you can see how warped the old one has gotten. What should we do with the old one other than toss it out? It has a lot of years and history around it.

Patches started to receive some long needed TLC today.
A new data port is cast and ready for some last minute cleanup before painting it later this week. The old port is removed and any left over adhesive cleaned off. With no cons or charity events going on some tiny little Star Wars fans came by to see Patches and BB8. The droids were happy to have the company.
A major part of the pre-wiring is done. In simple terms the wires in the red electrical tape are power in from the batteries and the green wrapped wires is RC controlled power to the drive motor.
The black box on the right is the RC signal receiver for the remote control. The digital readout on the left shows volts in as well as adjustable volts coming out the other end. It will be set to 4.5v for the receiver on the right. It will also show battery life so I know when to stop running and go charge back up.
